Michael Balantekin
Michael, a senior, joined Madison West Rocketry in 2004. He was a participant in the 2004-05 TARC competition and was a member of the 2005-06 Madison West “Green” SLI team. |

Cori Hay
Corinne started rocket club in the TARC 06’ program. She is very interested in physics and various other engineering related subjects. She hopes to pursue art and actuary science in the coming years. |

Gabe Lezra
Gabe is a prominent member of the payload team, and has stepped up his involvement this year by organizing, directing, and housing team meetings. His most prominent intellectual accolades are his political service—most notably his commitment to social democracy—and his designation as a Hispanic Merit Scholar. Gabe’s other hobbies include supporting his soccer team (Real Madrid CF), making paella, and watching Akira Kurosawa films. |

Rehan Quraishi
A senior, Rehan joined Madison West Rocketry in 2004 as the lead vehicle designer for the Team America Rocketry Challenge. He returned the following year to become the vehicle designer for Madison West's "Infrared" SLI team, as well as an advisor to the new TARC team. In his third year with Rocket Club, Rehan is participating in SLI 2007 as the Vehicle Manager and amateur webmaster, and is also participating in West's W2 project (mg.westrocketry.com), as well as occasionally mentoring TARC. Sporting a fashionable hat and unique sense of humor, he wishes to become a conglomeration of international cultures, and is in pursuit of learning several languages. |

Liz Sinclair
Now a senior, Liz came to Madison West Rocketry in 2004, at the beginning of her sophomore year. She participated in the 2004-05 TARC competition and last year was a member of Madison West’s “Green” SLI team. Her other interests include taking long bubble baths and riding horseback on the beach at sunset. |

Alec Walker
Alec Walker is a sophomore at West High School. He started out as a vehicle designer in TARC in 2006 and is now on vehicle design in SLI. Aside from rocketry, Alec enjoys playing guitar and baseball, and is also an avid outdoorsman. He plans to pursue a career in medicine. |

Rose Weisshaar
Rose, a senior, joined Madison West Rocketry in 2004. She was a participant in the 2004-05 TARC competition and was a member of the 2005-06 Madison West “Green” SLI team. In her spare time, she works on the development of the Foundation for the Professional Reenactment of the Trojan War and goes on ice-fishing trips. |

Martin 'Fish' Ventura
Martin ‘Fish’ Ventura was given the nickname Fish in the sixth grade, when, as an avid fisherman and outdoorsman, he out fished the entire Velma Hamilton middle school fishing club. Fish contributes his verbal and analytical skills to our drafting process, and plans to implement the same skills that he demonstrated last year when Fish played an integral, detail oriented role in the construction of last year’s rockets. In his spare time, Fish enjoys playing a multitude of musical instruments, fishing, road biking, cooking, and playing with his pet rodents. |

Michael Zhuo
Michael Zhou is a sophomore at Madison West High and a first year SLI member. He was a TARC member during the 2004-05 year. He plays the piano and also is a multilingual; speaking Chinese (Mandarin), English, and Spanish. His hobbies are ice hockey, reading, playing games, and traveling. He plans to join the video game industry. |
